We are looking for someone who will embrace what we have achieved so far and take it to the next level; we are committed to high quality, locally sourced cuisine that respects regional traditions while it is progressive. This was also recognized by the Michelin Guide by selecting Almalomb to the recommended restaurants as well by a Green Star for Sustainable Gastronomy. We believe in a seasonally changing, short but colorful menu that creatively addresses dietary needs. Our offerings are a constant balancing act between innovation and finding what our guests want.
An integral part of the job is the overall management of the kitchen processes including ensuring food hygiene and work safety, creative menu design and recipe development, procurement, liaising with local suppliers, economical stock management, efficient organisation of the food preparation process and management of the kitchen team. Working in a small team, excellent communication skills and teamwork are essential.
We are looking for candidates with similar relevant work experience and references. To be successful in this role, a high level of organisation and leadership skills are as important as a solid professional grounding, which will be reflected in an efficient and inspiring kitchen.
